As the world around us is going insane over the COVID-19 (Coronavirus disease 2019) spread, it is important to stay calm, rise up to the situation and be responsible global citizens. Like any other viral diseases, there are many precautionary steps we can take to fight against COVID-19. At present, COVID-19 doesn’t have any preventive vaccinations so it is important to keep in mind and follow the tips given below.

Increase your immunity:

Taking multi-vitamin tablets, exercising regularly, an intake of a diet high in vegetables and fruits, getting enough sleep, and minimizing stress are some of the important steps towards boosting your immunity.

Keep your hands clean:

Washing your hands properly with soap and water, lather and scrub your hands for at least 20 seconds. Use a hand sanitizer when you can’t use soap and water.

Stay hydrated:

An adult male should take in 3.7L of fluids and an adult female should take in 2.7L of fluids every day.

Wear a mask if you are sick:

If you are sick, with coughing or sneezing, use surgical masks to cover your mouth and nose. The mask will capture most of the germs from spreading and infecting someone else. It is not mandatory for a healthy person to wear a mask unless you are a health service provider.

It is not possible to prevent all illness, but you can take the steps towards remaining healthy. Allow your immune system to do its job and avoid germs in whichever way possible. If you have any symptoms of a viral infection, come to KIMS. Our team of expert doctors are here to take care of all your ailments.
